I've seen many ufo's in this area. There have been reports on UFO forums for Cooma and areas of the Snowy Mountains so I dont feel alone in my sightings. When I first came to Cooma I saw something that looked like a double sized planet, extremely bright and moving very slowly in the night sky above me. I tried to reason it was perhaps a form of helicopter that makes absolutely no sound but it really was different to anything I had seen before. Since then Ive seen the same in this area over Berridale. When I look this up on the internet to see if others have seen similar I find that indeed there are heaps of YouTube videos of the same - people call it an orb ufo.
Before I came to this area I had seen various UFO's so its not a new thing to me, just the orb was new. If this discussion does get going I will happily post on a fairly fully UFO event which happened in the early 2000s. For now just to say it will be good to talk to others who have had sightings in this area.

Hi Encounter, thanks for starting off the UFO posting section with your post. What you have posted is really interesting. I have heard of ufo types which are given the name "orbs". I'd like to hear more about these.
I realise its not always easy to speak on such matters as you make yourself vulnerable to those who would scoff. Your courage is applauded and I hope you will continue to contribute to the forum. I hope others will post soon and perhaps then you will tell us the major UFO event which happened to you in the early 2000's.

If you have a moment, could you post the sighting you had in the early 2000's please? In the early to mid nineties, me and 3 friends were heading to the smowies and not far from Cooma we saw a UFO. Initially something very bright caught my attention up in the night sky. At first I thought it was a full moon but extremely bright - way too bright to be the moon, just motionless up in the sky and perfectly round. After a few seconds it shot down below the horizon at phenomenal speed, illuminating the surrounding countryside for a second (bluish-white light) we obviously had no idea what it was but it really startled and confused us all. I was in the rear left side so only myself and the front left passenger saw the bright disc but the driver and the guy next to me only saw the dazzling light as it shot below the horizon. All I know is that it was no meteorite as it was perfectly round and there was no fiery trail. |
